Trouble Shooting

Recommended maintenance & Trouble shooting tips

  • Change (or clean reusable) filters regularly. Frequency depends on filter type and home use. For example pets, active renovations, smoking, etc. will make filter replacement/cleaning needed on a monthly basis.

  • Schedule annual maintenance for furnace and AC - We’ll look for problematic parts, as well as clean and inspect for safety and efficiency.

  • Turn on your equipment early in the season, even before genuinely needed. If there happens to be an issue, you won’t be scrambling to get it fixed during extreme heat or cold. You’ll be better prepared for the season.

  • Keep debris, plants, combustibles, and storage items 3 feet away from equipment - furnaces, water heaters, air conditioners - this prevents fire hazards and will deter insects and rodents.

  • Keep vent terminations clear of snow, covers, and vegetation. Always uncover your air conditioner before starting.

  • Change batteries in thermostat regularly. It is handy to do them at the same time as smoke detectors.
